I am not that familiar with the pricing on these type windows, I would suggest asking in the "windows" forum as the gent's there may be more familiar with the pricing for these type windows but from what I recall going to a french type (no center post) does add a pretty sizable amount of money. I would caution you to rethink including Jeldwen in your thoughts as their quality is very much lacking in most all window pro's opinions. And I would be especially leery in a more specialized product like a french casement as these are not everyday windows.

Not having the center bar might be bad for having a tight air seal though.

Outswing French should be fine with an air seal, no worries from my perspective. Inswing yes.

We have out swing push out French casements, no center bar, from Loewen. The air sealing is very good. We have a lot of windows and were under 1ACH.

The Loewens are comparable to Marvin in price in our area. We priced in swing French in the Marvin custom option for certain locations. That was $$$$$.
