Single door with sidelites. Double exterior doors aren't as solid as a single door or seal as well. I think sidelites look much better than double doors, and frankly I think double doors look pretty ostentatious and dated.

Haha, I am the OP from the old thread listed above. I love the door that we picked out for our entry. I am so glad I did not go with a double door. I will try and take a picture tonight and post. We are still under construction and haven't had door stained yet

Here is my unfinished door. It is a 3 foot door with 12 inch sidelights. The door is 8ft tall with an 18 transom. My entry is 6'3 wide.

Also, the glass still has the protective plastic. Molding for above door is being made and the door is very filthy (they just finished trim and sawdust is everywhere).
