Did you see the current GW thread on insulation? Do you know if there are any particular chemical family sensitivities? Allergies are more associated with pollen than building materials.

Hi Brian, yep - did a search and read that thread.

I'm looking for feedback/guidance on everything in the new home.

My husband has had breathing related issues with anything the off gases or has a chemical odour (including some cleaning equipment and even nail polish). Our youngest has sensitivities we know about and are confirmed and others we don't know how to test. We do know plastics are a concern - thus copper pipes throughout. He is still very young and may out grow some or all of this - but in the meantime I'd like to make the home as safe and healthy as possible.

A few other areas I'm interested in getting input on - ways to limit dust, hidden toxins in building supplies, is particle board always bad ....
