Sorry--can't get a picture of it, but ours is not an eyesore. Actually it doesn't look like a mound system at all. Our property gently slopes down to the back so it just changed the slope a bit in one area. Our excavator added soil to the sides of the mound so it sloped more gracefully. We were lucky to have plenty of leftover dirt from the excavation.

Many of the systems in my neighborhood are mound systems. Only one looks like a mound. They don't have any landscaping so it wouldn't help you.

You need to be very careful in landscaping on or near a septic system. I just googled "landscaping a mound septic system" and found plenty of pics and tips.

We had some friends with a mound system and they elevated that whole section of the yard and made a driving range sort of set up. They also lightly terraced the sides so it looked less round mound-y if that makes sense.

We are installing a mound system in our new home. In our case we have lots of room behind the house, so the mound will be located about 600' behind the house.

Depending on your lot size this could be an option for you.
