We haven't even moved in yet and I'm already thinking of the next project...

What material do you have on your basement stairs?

Mine are just regular pine stair treads and risers.

I want to finish the basement as a playroom/exercise room. I'm thinking of that wood-look vinyl plank stuff. Or marmoleum?

But what do I do with the stairs - I don't really want carpet cause I can imagine people coming in from the (walkout) backyard and tracking dirt up the stairs and I hate vacuuming stairs. Is there any way to finish these with vinyl or laminate?
