We are getting to close to the finish line, and we are getting very excited. The builder is giving us a move-in date for 3-4 weeks from now. Cabinets, floors, paint and trim are complete. My question is how picky should we be. Walking through the house today I found several areas where the paint looked "streaky". There was a chip on a spot on the trim. There was a chip on the side of one of the closet doors. The upstairs floors are very squeaky in spots (carpets are not in yet, just subfloor). Should everything be perfect when we move in or should we expect some blemishes on the wall, etc... Thanks....

Would you notice it in a friend's house? Then, have it fixed. The squeaky floors should be fixed before flooring. Mention that sooner than later.

The builder should be starting a punch list. This items should be on there.
