You won't be able to see out the glass to see who is at the door, if that matters to you - the glass panes are higher than eye height. You'll have to install a peephole.

Hi Jeff, sorry no ideas on the door but wanted to ask if you had considered deleting the stone on the house. I think it might better "ground"/connect your house to the landscape if you took the brick all the way down. Just a thought. Are you planning to use different muntin patterns on some of the windows?

Get rid of the arches on the door, and the stone waders too.

Personally, in your elevation the doors being the height they are compared to the windows throws off the balance in my opinion. Couple that with the fact that the sidelites are two narrow in my mind for an 8'-0" door unit and......

I'd do a shorter door, with a transom over it. The proportions are all too tall and skinny. Don't care for the bracket doodads either. Not appropriate.

I like the 2nd option much better. I agree it would look better as a shorter door with a transom - but I'm partial to shorter doors. Both would look nice, and I like the shelf doodads. :)
