Furnace Question

We are building a new home and the builder has furnace upgrade options.

Standard furnace is the Bryant Legacy Line 92

Option 1
Bryant Preferred 95t (95%) $1,280

Option 2
Bryant Evolution 96t (96.5%) with variable speed technology $1,800

All options, including the standard, come with dual zone climate control.

Are either of the upgrade options worth the cost?

Your lack of details makes it tough to advise but variable speed technology is almost always worth it.

They just poured the basement, but I need to make a decision long before I would be able to calculate any manual J or D.

The home will be around 3200sf colonial with a walkout basement to be finished later.

The takeoff for those calculations requires only the plans.
