I thought my builder was adding what I thought was Arizona stacked stone to lower half of my house. We did not actually agree but I assumed. I noticed it was a stone veneer that will be grouted between the spaces. I was told the grouted veneer is actually more labor and costly compared to the stack stone. It is also better quality and will not freeze off. In addition, the stacked stone can freeze off and have structure issues and cost less than grouting. I was ok it still looks nice. I was a little annoyed the decision was made without any kind of discussion. Is the grouted veneer more costly than stacked stone???
