Nice plan and a lot to like, but you will positively hate walking to the water closet at night. I sure hope you don't plan on growing old with that set up. :)

Seriously, I do like it. I like that you don't have to walk around that huge island to get to the family room. I wish you had a large pantry, though.

And if you like window treatments, the window and door placement in the living areas is going to make it extremely difficult to hang drapes. Look at a the photos of the actual rooms to see what I mean. You can't hang side panels on a window that is right up against a door. :(

I'd wish for a larger hall bath, too, but in slightly less than 2,200 square feet, I think this is a nice plan.

While the plan does not show it, there is a pantry in some photos that I have seen. It is located next to the refrigerator. I may see what I can do to increase the size of it though. Thanks for the observation on the draperies. Fortunately, or not, due to allergies, I am thinking more of cornices and blinds. I will talk to our builder about options for the water closet. Again...thanks for your insight. It helps a BUNCH!
