hide-a--hose installation

I am installing a hide-a-hose and have most of the parts lined up where I plan to install them. It is a split level house and I am installing the outlet in the stairwell so will enter the crawlspace with the ducting horizontally. My plan is to run th ducting beneath the floor joists. However, there are a few small obstacles to keeping the duct completely level. - some water lines that run under the joists and in one place a furnace vent drops a couple inches beneath the joists. Also, where I enter the crawlspace has to b above the concrete foundation so that is above the joists a couple inches. I might be able to use a slight angle connector or possibly there will be enough give in the length of pipe to get around these obstacles. The other option might be to use 2X4 blocks beneath the joists where the brackets attach and keep the whole thing level that way. Any suggestions from others that have installed one of these? Thanks in advance.
