My 'new' jacuzzi tub is full of moldy insulation

What do you think? Is it safe? is it acceptable?

Our tub has been installed now for a month or two. It ended up being full of water, then blown in fiberglass insulation, along with sawdust. No effort was made by the GC to cover the tub. The guys doing insulatoin threw a tarp over it but that was it.

It is now a moldy mess. Has this happened to anyone else? Do you think it will be safe to use?

Clean it out.

The normal chlorine levels will kill anything much else.

Put a filter over the intake jets to trap any debris from getting into the pump and run it for a bit with some WhirlOut. Then have the pump cleaned out by a tech to make sure that no debris damaged it and you should be good to go. keep the WhirlOut handy, as whirlpools have a tendency to develop mold in their pipes and require cleaning on a regular basis to control this.
