| and red brick? Should the soffits be white because the dentil molding will be, or will they look cheap in white? I hate modern soffits, but obviously we can't avoid them. I plan to go hold up the tiny color samples to the brick tomorrow and i'll post pictures here for advice on the downspout color. Any thoughts on the soffit color? I want as historic a look as possible (which is partly why I don't want white downspouts). thanks. |

| I think the historical soffits would've been white if the surrounding ornament was, so I would do that. I think they will disappear relatively compared to the adjacent things if they just blend in. Most people screen those things out anyway, visually, and don't notice the modern aspects of it that probably drive you crazy. |
