Frank Betz has lots of actual photos for each of their plans. It helps give you ideas of what you like/don't like, even if you don't go with one of their plans. Don Gardner is the same. I incorporated different things from different houses that I liked. If you really like the elevation of one of these plans, you can totally redo the inside and keep the same elevation. We did that with a Frank Betz plan. Good luck!
