I'm not a fan of a lot of brick and stone together because it adds too much texture and color and clashing patterns. Not that it can't be done, but that, of what I've seen, it's rarely done well. For those reasons, I prefer to see stone with stucco, if that's a possibility for you....

You might look at houzz.com and see some exteriors to get some ideas. I like it best when the colors coordinate strictly, when the sizes of the brick and stone are clearly different and when the grout is minimized or matched to the stone so it keeps the contrast down.

For example, here the brick grout matches closely, there's very little variation in the colors in the brick, the brick color is in the stone and the stone is significantly larger in scale than the brick so it becomes the pattern against the more neutral brick background.

This one I don't like as there is additional and unnecessary pattern in the brick with the contrast colors, the grout that contrasts from the brick and the heavy pattern and texture in the stone creating a clash of pattern and color.

I would give this one a nice try, but no cigar in that the brick color contrasts too much with the stone work so the look isn't cohesive, especially annoying with the stone eyebrows over the windows which really stands out too much. (Don't get me started on the lilliputian shutters!)

For me, this also works, because the texture and color in the brick is the stand out feature and the stone work is neutral, just provides texture and coordinates well with the grout used with the bricks. Note the scale in the stone is much larger so the patterns of both work together. And they kept the trim the same color so it creates a cohesive whole.

And this is just a "please don't!" Not only is there no color coordination, and the brick is very busy, and the color variation in the stone high, but they even added more pattern by how they laid the brick. A visual cacophony! How much more attractive this would be if they just stuck with the brick.
