Finished wall looked like waterfall

We had a drain in an egress window that did not work and had a heavy rain and it was like Niagara Falls! Luckily no flooring is down, but they had just trimmed out the window the day before, and the wall is painted. They keep saying that they want to make sure the problem is solved before they do something, but I am afraid they don't think the drywall needs to be replaced. Should I make sure they replace both the window sill and drywall, they keep saying it will dry out...

I wouldn't trust the drywall to dry out as it could lead to mold. I'd want them to replace that too.

I would insist they remove all drywall and installation and use fans to dry it out properly and spray everything with a solution that that is suppose to prevent mold from growing. Also make sure what ever caused it on the outside of your home is fixed before they put it all back together.

10-4 on the above advice as once wet the insulation is no good either.
