Cabinet knob size

Shopping for cabinet knobs, can any of you share the size of knob you went with (1 inch? smaller than 1 inch or bigger)? I want to make sure I get the right size. I have a 10ft ceiling if this matters.

I am also eyeing on those restoration hardware knobs but am not sure if I should go with the bigger size or the smaller one. For those who have picked out their cabinet knobs and can share their experience that will be great.

If I were buying cabinet knobs I would not choose this type. They look nice but I catch my clothes on them constantly.

I have a few knobs from RH and I went with the 1 1/4" size. I'm very happy with the proportions.
