We are building a new construction "cottage" style home. It will have a green metal roof, a brick "skirt", and white posts/columns/beams. Above the brick skirt, I want light yellow. I am leaning either towards an engineered wood siding (like the LP Smart Siding) or a premium insulated vinyl siding. I want something that provides a large exposure per board and is smooth and flat. I hate the fake wood grain stuff.

What brand of premium vinyl siding would fit that bill - large exposure, smooth, sturdy, light yellow color?

Is the LP Smart Siding the best choice for engineered wood siding?

As far as maintenance goes, which would have less, the vinyl siding or the engineered wood?

The look is more important to me than the cost as we originally were going to do all brick, but I like the contrast of a solid yellow color with the color palette we have selected.
