I installed these in a past project. Aluminum clad wood, seemed pretty sturdy compared to the lower end lines of big mfrs like Andersen. I had a mix of casements, double hung, sliding, patio and sliding doors. The look was great. Live in CA where it never rains or snows so never took much abuse from the weather. Only complaint is the sliding doors/windows were really heavy/hard to operate. Not sure if that's an installation issue. Sold house after

Mediocre at best from what little experience I have with them.

We've had Semco in two homes now. The first house we built, in 1999, we had a great experience with our Semco casements. They were high quality with a reasonable price. So, we put them in our current home (2005). I really dislike these windows. They changed the locking mechanism on the casements from two locks to one. My windows do not close well at all....every single one of the windows we open and close regularly have issues with closing. So, at this point, I would not recommend the windows. We won't be using them again anyway.
