How does an initial offer for a piece of land look like? Is it an informal letter, a formal form, or a sale contract? I'm looking to buy a piece of land without a buyer agent. Found 2 that I'm interested - 1 from FSBO and the other has a seller agent.

Write up an offer letter with your terms and present it to the owner of the FSBO, that's just the initial contact, you can formalize it once it's been excepted (lawyer). Go thru the agent on the other one.

When we found our lot, we just called and made our offer over the phone. The seller agent typed everything up and made it official and presented it to the seller who then countered.
