Well.... it actually began over the past two years as we searched for the right land, but we are closing on the lot today! We are excited but plenty nervous as this is by far the biggest "check" we've ever written. Glad to be able to buy the land with cash, but it certainly hurts more than signing a loan document.

I'm going to start a blog to capture the process... in the meantime here are some photos and video of the lot.
