Fires can destroy a home and lives. They can cause massive amounts of destruction and kill people who are caught by either the flames or the smoke. If you survive such a horrible thing, you are likely to go through the stress and pain of rebuilding. It is especially difficult if you lost someone close to you.

To avoid all of this, you need something that works. You need to fireproof your home with available coatings that are safe as well as effective. This will give you the chance to lower the risk as fire and contain any that do occur. With how dangerous fires can be, there is no reason not to do this.

A fire retardant spray or paint will help to protect your home quite a bit. These will reduce the risk of a spreading fire, allowing you to escape and control the flames. If something does happen, like if there is a sudden fire in a single room, there will be less of a chance of it spreading. You will be more likely to survive the fire as well as stop it before it caused any major destruction. These are effective options and they can give you the chance to save yourself in many ways.

There are several options available. Regardless of what you have, you should be able to find something that will protect it. There is everything from wood to steel fireproofing available, making it possible to protect many different rooms in many different types of buildings. This is incredibly important for high risk buildings, like businesses that deal with troublesome and dangerous equipment. You will be able to work, live, and do everything without worrying about whether there will be a fire or if it will claim everything. Your building will be much safer thanks to the work of flame retardant spray and paints.

A great thing about the fire retardant spray and paints is that they are safe. You have the protection that you need without increasing the risk of other dangers. They are not toxic and they are easy to apply, helping you to take advantage of them in a simple and straightforward manner. Since many products that promise safety are often toxic to your health, and this is going to be something that you are around daily, you want the extra peace of mind that is offered here. Your home or business will be safer without sacrificing overall health.

By using these products, you can greatly increase the safety of your home or business. They are applied easily and provide something that you need. With how damaging and dangerous that a fire can be, you are going to want to use flame retardant spray and paints. Since they can be used on various types of materials, like wood and steel, you will be able to make use of it easily. It controls the fire and it reduces the chance of it spreading. This can literally save lives and a lot of money, helping everyone to get out of this with more than they would have had otherwise.

@ Renovator8....Please give us your opinion on how this is spam? This is simply to inform people of something that many are not aware of! There is no mention of a company product or company name! Obviously you know nothing about spamming or fire safety....I'm sure! But here's a little education on spamming which you should have read before you accuse someone of it....

    Advertising includes:

    1. Mentioning the name of the business, providing a link or phone number and/or asking others to contact you.

    2. Linking to any page on your site, including informational pages or images.

    3. Linking to a site that in turn links to your business.
Registering for an account and using your business name as your member name.

    4. Posting under a pseudonym and then linking to your business.

Yeah, what the H would an architect know about fire safety!

Protective coatings have their place in home fire protection. As intumescent coatings, when allowed, over foam.

Otherwise, fireblocking and draftstopping are the main deterrents to slowing and starving fires within a house.

Unfortunately, these measures are often overlooked in renovations--the horrors I have seen over 40 years of selling, inspecting, renoing and building--and new construction in areas where third-party inspections are rare, such as in rural jurisdictions.

@ worthy..You're exactly right! As a matter of fact, according to a recent paper published by researchers, making rural homes more resistant to fire is the best way to reduce the number of homes lost to wild-land fires. Even low-intensity fires from far away have produced fire ambers carried by the wind for miles that have burned unprotected houses down to the ground.

Protection against external fires is another topic. But it gives me an excuse to post this graphic photo of what such protection looks like.

Standard drywall provides excellent fire protection for the interior surfaces of a home. When exposed to a fire, water vapor is released which has the same cooling effect as intumescent paint. I can't imagine what material would benefit from a fire resistive or intumescent coating in a home unless it was exposed structural steel which is pretty rare in a home.

If you really want to protect people and property an active method like quick-response residential sprinklers is far more effective and practical than passive coatings. No matter how many things you make fire resistant there will always be plenty of fuel for a fire in a home.

The purpose of passive fire protection is to delay the spread of fire so the fire service can control it when they arrive. All passive protection will fail eventually and no one is going to paint their grandmother's mahogany table.

It must be painful to have your dream of being a fire protection consultant dashed but here's a photo to cheer you up.

Wow, that photo of "last house standing" is pretty darn amazing. I don't live in a fire area and don't plan on doing anything to my home but I'd sure like to learn more about whatever saved that home!
