Thank you for posting the photo! I like the shingles - we plan to use them on a portion of our home too. We plan to consider the Nichiha product vs Hardie board.

No problem! I think you said you were in Hixson...Nichiha is in Atlanta, so relatively close. I'm in California now (grew up in Hixson!), so they had to search a little to find someone who carried it, but were able to get it for probably the same cost or even less than Hardie. The only thing is that if you want to stain it, you use concrete stain, which is somewhat limiting in terms of colors. They gave us a choice of the Rustoleum, but very difficult to find samples. Amazon did carry some of the colors, in $10 spray bottles.
