Bevangel - What went wrong with your build?

Thank you so much for your honesty and the help you have provided to everyone.

I know you have posted your story a few times and issues since then, however I was curious as to your suggestions on how to prevent some of the things that happened to you.

We have a fixed price contract to build that is from the GA Assoc. of Realtors. Along with that we have added several addendums, spec sheet, and allowance sheet regarding quoted upgrades. We are also taking a loan out for this project.

You may not be familiar with our particular contract, but I wanted to ask your opinion on how to avoid some the issues you ran into and your ability to remedy those issues later. We are having our attorney review everything, but I know they can miss things. Also the home will be inspected for each draw, but would you recommend an engineer to help with this as well?

Also anyone else who wants to chime in feel free.

Actually just reread all your posts...got some sound advice. So I think I am ok.
