Security system on a leach septic system?

I was just told by a friend that most leach septic systems have security alarms on them to tell you if the power goes out and the septic system is off or if other things are awry. I don't believe ours has one otherwise we might have been alerted to the theft of our aerator. Anyway, how many of you with leach systems have a security component to yours? Thanks.

A security system, or an alarm?
I would think an alarm might be nice (though not necessary) to inform you when your tank is getting full before something backs up into your house.

A security system to tell you when someone stole an aerator... well, I don't think so.

Most septic systems have a tank alarm to alert you when there is a problem with water levels, etc. It's often located near the interior connection to the system (for example in a basement utility room) This is not a security system to prevent theft.

This is simple, but it explains a septic tank alarm.

I would be surprised, given the quality of your build, if you did not have a tank alarm.
