Insulating Around Direct Vent Fireplace

We have chosen the Fireplace Xtrordinair 864HO for our new home. I am curious how to insulate the framing box for the fireplace? I have looked online, but have not found much information about how to do it. The fireplace will be placed on an exterior wall and the framing box will be built into the interior. Should I insulate the exterior wall as normal and also insulate the framing box all the way to the ceiling? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. If anyone has photos showing the process, that would be great. Thanks

Insulate the exterior wall with mineral wool (Roxul) and not the firebox unless the manufacturer's instructions say that is allowed.

Read the instructions very carefully and observe all clearances to combustibles at the firebox and the flue/vent. Use those instructions or call the manufacturer rather than relying on internet information.

All factory-built fireplaces are required to be tested by the manufacturer so their installation instructions can differ quite a bit. General information from elsewhere would be dangerous to use which is probably why it is not easy to find.

I have read the installation manual for the fireplace but it doesn't give much information for insulation. It only states not to insulate 5" from each side.
