We have a colonial with white trim and white gutters. I
painted the downspouts to match the body of the house because the white on our brown house drove me nuts. After I did it, my husband said he was amazed at the difference. As virgilcarter said, don't call attention to them. Unless they're copper and then you just need an armed guard ;-)

Our gutters match our trim....I agree...whatever draws the least attention to them. If you have difficulty seeing mine, that's good!

Same as Annie. Our gutters match the cream trim.

We have a Spanish style house, so our gutters match the brown eaves/beams and the downspouts match the tan stucco. They blend in and disappear in the horizontal and vertical planes.

Talk with the gutter company and be present when they get installed, so that they can be placed in the best position for function and curb appeal. Don't leave it to the workers to make the decision!

Since they can get grubby, I wish we'd made ours darker to blend with the roof, not the lighter trim.'
