If you have a tough lot to design for, can't find plans on-line and are having a hard time drawing it out yourself, I suggest speaking with some architects. Figure out your needs and your wants and have a professional take it from there. It can't heard to at least speak with them and see what they say they can do for you.

Also, don't forget to take into consideration what direction your house will face. It makes sense to try to design a plan that will give you some passive heating and cooling.

Thank you...we have been talking to an architect and that's what they came up with...we have the direction of the house and all.
Here in Florida we more worry about the cooling ;)

What does anyone think of the floor plan so far?

Whats the square footage of the home? Its hard to read the dimensions. Wheres the tv going to sit in the living room? You have a lot of traffic lanes going through the living room might make placing furniture in a functional way difficult.

I think as far as the flooring now days is concerned one have to be very careful about this as it have to be very strong and beautiful at the same time as well.
I think you can opt for the wooden flooring and concrete with white marble as well. One think to keep in mind is that these marbles comes in different shapes and sizes as well. So you can elect the most appropriate one for yourself.
