We looked at Elderado Stone for part of our exterior and the cost would've been $14,000 for our job. We looked at Boral brick to see if there were any options we liked and found a multi-tonal brick that we loved for just under $6,000 total.

We chose to use the brick that we liked and put the savings toward upgrading parts of the interior. Good luck with your build!

Here in south central Montana, cultured stone is around $25 sq.ft. and brick is about $13. We did not consider EFUS due to possible mold issues and the fact that woodpeckers like to peck holes in it around here.

There is a place in Morgantown WV that will put up Eldorado Stone including the material for $11-$12 a square foot.

Prices may vary slightly in PA, but here in the midwest (OH and MI), nonunion rates are approx. $14-15 sq.ft. for cultured stone, and $12-13 for EIFS (dryvit) and stucco. Not sure of brick rates. For union labor, add around 15% to those numbers.

This may be obvious, but remember that it's wall square footage and not floor space, so soaring gables and high pitched roof lines which are common in French Country style homes will add to the total cost. This is also true with EIFS and stucco if you have lots of detail around windows and trims. The sq.ft. price above is for average detailing.

If you have the time it's best to drive around during the day where houses are being built. Find the subs that are doing this work and get direct quotes from them. This way you'll have the 'local' prices for your area. If you're an O/B, this is the best way to find out for all of your subs.
