Show me your understair pantry

Posted by okpokesfan (My Page) on

Anyone have a pantry under your stairs? If so, what is the width? I started out with a nice-sized separate pantry but unfortunately it has been taken over with mechanicals. I am hoping to use my understair area. Thanks for your help!

Here's ours--finished I only have the one pic, unfinished I have the other angles. Our stairs are a U-shape and the ceiling clearance is 6' under the landing at the back of the stairs. My DM has a similar set up but her area under the landing has 5' ceiling clearance.

Same view as above only unfinished:

Area under the landing. I took this shot from the back right corner of the pantry shown in the photo above, so these are the shelves along the back wall (on the right in the photo) and then around the corner on the left side under the landing (straight ahead in the photo):

Broom area created under lower stair section (around corner again from last pic--this wall is opposite the back wall and extends under 1 or 2 steps on the lower staircase-not the greatest shot)

Hope this helps!
