Is there a reason I shouldn't go with prefinished ext color

I''ve scoured the planet for the right exterior color. My builder dropped the prefinished colors off last week (nichiha fiber cement). And, the color i have been searching for is actually there! I noticed though that most people on the forum go with primed siding and paint it after install. Is there a reason for that? Is there some reason I should go with painting after install? The prefinished carries a 25 yr warranty which DH prefers, but I didn't know if there was something else we were missing.
