Frank B. Ambrose Plan

Posted by househappy (My Page) on

Wednesday we broke ground on our new home, the Ambrose Plan by Frank Betz. It will be all brick with several changes but the basic plan is still the same. Sq. ftg. has been increased to 3024 total. Has anyone had any experience with this plan? I did a search and found nothing. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have been looking at several Frank plans. This one is originally 2500? I found some builders in GA doing this plan. I don't know where you are located. But, I haven't seen it in person. I will try to find the link and let you know. I really like his plans though. They are all very charming!

Yes, it's originally around 2500 but we are adding sq. ftg. to the garage which in turn added sq. ftg. to the bonus room upstairs. It is a very large bonusroom! I think it is charming and will meet our needs perfectly. Thanks for the info. Anyone else?

My wife and I are building the Ambrose in Kentucky. We picked the plan together an both love it. The framing is complete with some minor changes. We are ready for the roof contractor.

Here are some links I've found on the web:

It's a really neat plan! There are several of them in our area that have been built recently. One of them is about 1/2 mile from where we will be building. I have to go out to our property tomorrow, so I'll take my camera with me and see if I can sneak some pictures. :o)'s funny that you mentioned GA builders doing this plan. It's REALLY popular in Augusta right now. I happened to find one listed in our weekly real estate booklet that came in today's newspaper. The realtor's online link isn't working, so I took a picture of the ad. LOL

We are building the Ambrose as well( in framing). We're going to have a larger bonus too because of larger garage. A couple of builders in my area are building the Sullivan, very similar to the Ambrose, just a little smaller.
Here are the websites, I've found them to be very helpful:

My husband and I are considering this plan as well. I would like to see the basement layout if anybody has it or has pictures.
