If I remember correctly, you used fiber cement lapped siding on your home right? We are in the process of figuring out what siding to go with and im hoping you would share with me what your cost per square foot for siding was. Im trying to keep our build at 200k or below, we will be building roughly 1800 sqf house with a detached 1200 sqf garage. You installed siding yourself right? And did you go with primed or painted? My husband is a fireman as well so as you know, it leaves alot of time to diy things. We just finished building a temporary 1000sqf home on our property to live in while we build, my mom will live in it after our house it built. It came to use with the exterior walls, sub floor and roof already in place. My husband did everything wiring, sheetrock, plumbing, electrical etc. its 3 bed 1 bath and we came in total build for this at 12000, so im confident we will be able to stay in our budget like you did on our build.
