Window height & size

I am sketching a exterior view of our house and need some general info,the two story section will be 20ft wide by 19 tall(sidewalls) with 9 ft cellings on the bottom and 8 or 9 on the top floor,I'm thinking if using 7 ft doors,what is the distance from the floors(1st&2nd) should the bottom of the windows be placed and should they be lined up with the top of door on 1st floor?i am just trying to get a idea on size and placement so I can rough sketch it.
I'm also thinking about a large slider for the rear of house that's 20 ft wide,any recommendations?it will be similar to this barn design but bigger.
