What do you mean by IBC, STATE, COUNTY?

You want to know the codes, buy a code book. And hire an expert to interpret the gazillion pages for you. It takes YEARS to know all that you need to know.

If you are referring to building codes, the IBC is not for single-family homes; you probably want the IRC.

The only functional code forum I know of is linked below. If you are looking for lively discussions you should pick a different subject.

You should own copies of the relevant codes and any state or local revisions, be familiar with them, and read the FAQs before venturing into the forum; the members are mostly inspectors, contractors, architects and even an ICC board member so if you want to go to school try lurking.
