Help with fireplace finish

In our new home build we will have white woodwork, cherry cabinets and oak flooring stained gunstock. The cabinets and flooring go very well together. This is an open floor plan so kitchen, dining area and vaulted greatroom will all be visible to each other. I originally thought to have a white fireplace in the greatroom since we have white woodwork, but I really love the look of a stained cherry fireplace. I would like your opinion on which fireplace finish would look best. Also, the dining area will have a stained cherry finished dining set, and there will be an off white almost cream colored kitchen island.
There will be a 61/2 foot tall window with white grills on each side of the fireplace.

We chose the cherry woodwork and fireplace in our library and it looks really nice and very traditional. If your tastes are more contemporary, perhaps you'd prefer the white. Have you thought about other colors in the room? That may help guide you....or do you have inspiration pictures of rooms you like?

My taste is very traditional and there will be some antiques throughout.
In the greatroom a palor table, small marble table, 1700s butter churn and a few globe lamps. I am leaning toward the cherry wood. Given that I will have a smattering of antiques would the cherry fireplace fit in better or could either finish work.
