 o
Insulation between floors

I know this topic has been covered a lot but I have 2x10 floor joists between the first and second floor. Its not that much square footage and thought it would be a good idea to stick r-19 insulation up there because it won't cost that much. I know it may not help with noise a whole lot but for the cost it's worth it. Now is it better to put the insulation up against the plywood of the second floor or flush with the 1st floor ceiling, or in the middle? I am also going to look into resilient channel for more sound reduction.

Thanks!
