Here's a few. I can vouch for the Austin Margaritas...awesome! Austin Margaritas 1 12-oz can frozen limeade 1 12-oz can sprite 1 12-oz can tequila (or maybe a little less to taste. I use Sauza Gold) 1 12-oz bottle Corona beer. Mix all ingredients together in a punch bowl. Serve on the rocks with glasses rimmed in salt. Cape Codder Punch 1 (48 oz) bottle cranberry juice cocktail 1 ½ cups vodka 1/3 cup sweetened lime juice 1 (1 liter) bottle ginger ale Ice cubes Garnish: fresh cranberries and lime wedges on swizzle sticks Stir together first 3 ingredients. Stir in ginger ale just before serving and serve over ice. Whiskey Punch (makes 32 cups) 2 liters whiskey or bourbon ½ liter dark rum 1 ¼ cups sugar 7 cups strong-brewed tea 3 ½ cups fresh lemon juice or 4 (7.5 oz) bottles of frozen lemon juice thawed 2 quarts orange juice Stir together all ingredients in a large crock or food safe container. Cover mixture and chill for up to 3 days before serving.

I make this punch for Thanksgiving. The kids love having their own special drink, and it's not too sweet for adults (who have been known to lace their individual cups with a splash of vodka...) APPLE HARVEST PUNCH 2 Cups Chilled Cranberry Juice (not as sweet as the cocktail) 2 Cups Apple Cider 1 l/2 Cups Orange Juice 2 Cups Chilled Club Soda The recipe I found calls for thin orange slices and frozen cranberries to be floated in it. But in place of frz. cranberries, I usually freeze additional cranberry juice in a ring mold and put that in before serving to help keep chilled without diluting. And in place of the oranges, I very thinly slice red delicious apples crosswise and float them in the punch. Doing apples instead of oranges sets you up for the "red" flavors that make it a holiday punch. They also differentiate it from all the citrus/sherbert punches.

Rita do you live down south and are hot mulled beverages ever welcome down there? I had Scandanavian "glögg(or glühwein as the Germans call it or mulled wine) once at a bar up north and became an immediate devotee. I've served it before at parties and it was a hit. One of the best ones I made was mixing a spiced red wine with a blackberry flavored wine and heating it with citrus and a few spices. As many recipes as there are people and tastes, but I can buy it by the bottle here in MI and drink a cup many a night, heated in the microwave. Can be kicked up a notch with brandy or schnaaps or some kind of liqueur. If you don't want hot, just go with some type of wine punch, which is basically what sangria is. Drink the prosecco straight or with a twist of citrus peel and maybe a shot of peach brandy if you are really desperate. Isn't that what a bellini is? Champagne is a big enough treat for me not to add anything except maybe orange juice in the AM for a mimosa.
