I don't know how many people will see this before tomorrow morning but I wanted to know if anyone is interested in hoyas. I'm not going to bring any unless I know someone is looking for them...however I'll take some cuttings if someone out there makes a request. I'll bring something to eat ... "real food" but I don't know what right now. I should brings some pictures of my new yard. It is kind of like Ariel's. We just moved in and there isn't much landscaping but there is a lot of LAWN! Thanks guys, I really like the chair. I honestly just don't have the eye to layer pattern. Some advise offered earlier about fact that it would just look too busy rings true to me and what I was fighting. But I think the color gives it just enough pop to spare it from being boring, and it is a nice warm color I am comfortable with bringing in throughout the room with accents and blends well with other areas of the house visible from that room. We relocated the plant and pushed the chair back into the corner. Placed the pillows that we purchased that I am not certain about. And oddly enough, I now can like my old coffee table more because the color works with the new furniture. So I am now going to move on to phase 3. Paint color for the room, I don't like the current color (raffia cream) but have the darker color on the strip (gobi desert) in the other main rooms and like it a bit more. Not sure if we should just go with that or look for something else. Find some pillows, throws, and accent pieces. The ottoman and curtains will be phase 4 or so! I need to take a break from all of the choices! I'll get there eventually!

Sheeisback, I like the Fallen Leaf as well, but it's a pain because it's a CSP color, which means it's patented and protected by BM, so you can't buy samples in the stores, and you have to buy it in Aura paint. You can get a sample directly from BM, for $10 plus shipping, then the $60 for the gallon of Aura...not worth it to me. Emmarene, the kitchen also has the hand hewn pine beams on the ceiling and the shiplap chalet ceiling, painting in BM White Dove. Have to go back and really go over cabinet options and colors. Thinking about a green or an ivory now since I'm concerned the plain maple will clash with the pine beams. I don't want any cabs with orange in them, and I don't want dark cabs.

I think you have to decide about the rug first, in or out. We just went from a dark oriental like yours to one with light colors (cream, light blue-green, and a touch of caramel matching our caramel leather sofa like your chair) and from there the room changed completely to warm and light. The rug has to come first. The more red and dark blue you add with your present rug the more you are getting away from what you said you wanted
