Warm Cinnamon-Orange Cider

As if by magic, the cinnamon candies melt, giving this spiced cider a rosy glow.

Prep: 5 min Cook: 5 min

1/2 bottle (64-ounce size) apple cider
2 cups orange juice
2 tablespoons red cinnamon candies
1 1/2 teaspoons whole allspice
1 tablespoon plus 1 1/2 teaspoons honey

1. Heat apple cider, orange juice, candies and allspice to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer 5 minutes.

2. Remove allspice. Stir in honey. Serve warm.

Makes 8 servings (about 1 cup each)

Success Hint: Be sure to buy whole allspice berries instead of ground. You can put them in a tea ball or tie them up in a piece of cheesecloth for easy removal.

This sounds soooo good, I have to try it. I can just imagine curling up on a snowy evening with a good book and sipping this. Thank you for the recipe. Vique.
