Chai Tea

No need to pay coffeehouse prices when it’s this easy to make the classic Indian sweet and spicy tea.

Prep: 6 min Cook: 4 min

2 cups water
4 bags black tea
2 cups milk
2 tablespoons honey
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1. Heat water to boiling. Add tea bags; reduce heat. Simmer 2 minutes. Remove tea bags. Stir in remaining ingredients. Heat to boiling.

2. Stir with wire whisk to foam milk. Pour into cups.

Makes 4 servings (1 cup each)

Have you tried using cardamom to make chai?
My favourite chai recipe uses only cardamom for spice.

No, at least I've never thought so. I use green cardamom pods, not the ground spice, so the flavour might be different.
