| We have open bottles of liquor and liquers, some 20 years old. Can they be stored in the garage all year long(hot summers, cold winters!)? Thanks |

| Cold winters won't hurt...but if you have stuff like fruit cordials they may deteriorate in the heat. But "spirits" like whiskey vodka, gin etc should be fine...just be sure there is anough head room in the bottle to allow for expansion in the heat...but as you know, liquor won't freexe! Linda C |

| Open bottles of liquor? Twenty years old? I would toss them. The flavors are bound to have changed. If you can't bear to do that use them in punch or for cooking. |

| Trust me....Scotch, rum, gin and other "spirits" won't change flavor in a bottle with a lid. As a matter of fact I had a small glass of scotch last month from a bottle which had been open for 13 years. It's common to buy and open a bottle of fine liquor when a Jewish baby has a Bris and to finish it 13 years later at the Bar mitzvah. Linda C |

| Cream liqures such as Baileys should be refrigerated after opening as they will actually spoil. Some cordials will lose flavor with age. Nothing has a chance to get old at my house except certain wines that I am purposly aging. |

| Baileys gets "clots" if it's too old!..."shudder".... I seem to "collect" fruit flavored liquors and cordials...raspberry, strawberry, lemon, orange of several kinds, coconut, mango...pear... Some easily 20 years old....and the Poire I had was as lovely as it ever was. Linda C |
