Recipe: Blend you own Nice Cuppa Tea

I love hot black tea with cream & sugar (OK, Splenda!). I've bought way too much loose tea "just to try it" and haven't liked all of them. Green or white tea are supposed to have better health benefits but I didn't like them as much. Then I tried blending loose teas together and I've liked them all.

My favorite blend is to Mix equal parts of the following loose teas in a plastic bag & shake to mix, then store in a caddy:
Black Keemun, Black Ceylon, Oolong, & Young Hysson.

Also try mixing equal parts of any two different black teas & any two difference green teas (or one green & one white)

Rather than get out the tea pot for one cup at a time, I put a tablespoon or so of the loose tea blend into a tea filter made for mugs. The leaves can be used again for subsequent cups of tea until it gets too weak.

The filter comes with a little coaster to sit on between uses.

Hope you try tea blending and enjoy it!

Barbara

I love tea especially fruity ones. There is this neat tool I came across the other day for brewing tea. It's called a Gamila Teastick. Check it out I have a feeling you might like it.

By the way, I recently found out that June is Iced Tea month..Yeah!! I found some good recipes online too like Thai Iced Tea. Do you have any interesting iced tea recipes?
