does anyone know how to make this powdered mix? they sell it at stores, but it is sooo pricey?

love chai tea and will try the recipe. Hopefully, it will be better then the instant stuff at the store, or else its back to the treat of the liquid mix that you add to milk to.

What on earth are you talking about? Chai is an Indian word for tea.Hindi, tamil, Malayalam, telugu...all the languages in India that I know of call tea ,"chai". There is the genteel home version and then there is the 'dhabba' version. the latter is a word for the little highway places where the truckers,etc. stop for a break and a cup of chai.From what I've seen, the proportions are reversed.They use 3/4 cup milk to 1/4 cup water and boil the whole thing along with tea leaves and mashed ginger and sometimes cardamom for about 10 minutes on the bubble.
Is this the chai you were asking about?
