Need T & T Hot Buttered Rum Recipe

| I am looking for a hot buttered rum recipe that I can have simmering and just have ladle out. I don't want to have to mix each drink individually. Thanks for any help you can give me. |

That's hard to do....as the butter will float and be hard to get some of each and the rum will boil off.
Best to make a batter of butter and brown sugar and the spices....have it in a bowl and a pot of water simmering on the stove. Put a scoop of the butter mix in a mug, add a shot of rum and fill with hot water.

| OOOOH, I never thought about that. We are having a large crowd meet at my house tomorrow before going to dinner and I wanted to have something like that to offer them, but didn't want to make a fuss. Maybe I will just do a mulled cider type thing. Thanks so much. |

| :) if you set it up ahead of time, it doesn't need any more fuss than putting the kettle on. use a spiced rum (pop a few cinnamon sticks in the bottle) cream the butter and sugar together, pack them in an ice cube tray or candy mold, and freeze them. then it's the matter of a moment to decant them, and drop them into a cup of tea or hot rum :) |
