Housewarming 'fill the bar' party

Posted by Smokeyjo (My Page) on

My friends having a housewarming party. Their theme is to fill the bar. (Very cool, lots of space, but very empty.) I'd like to get them three bottles and some recipes for each one. Any suggestions?

When you say 3 bottles do you mean 3 bottles of wine with recipes to compliment the wine or are you talking about liquor, ie. Gin, Rum, Scotch etc....?

RE: Housewarming 'fill the bar' party

I would make one bottle Frangelico. It's a unique liquor to drink straight on the rocks or mix with something. I can't think of a good recipe off-hand but I'm sure you could search for something on the internet. Probably most will bring the staples like gin, vodka, etc. Maybe you could look for something different. Other suggestions I have are Bailey's, Tequila Rose, or Vanilla Stoli (excellent mixed with 7up).

Cool. I haven't heard of Frangelico. Looking for liquor, I don't think they drink much wine.

Frangelico, Grand Marinier, Framboise, Creme de Cassis, Creme de Menthe, Creme de cocoa, Creme de almond, Kalhua.....and the recipes for the blender ice cream drinks they can make.....and maybe a coupld of big glasses to serve them in.

Three of my favorite things to make drinks out of are:

Kahlua (coffee flavored liqueur)
Amaretto (almond flavored liqueur)
Bailey's Irish Creme (wonderful cream flavored liqueur with an Irish Whiskey and creame base, great by itself on the rocks)

These drinks can be made with one or more of those those ingredients:
Amaretto Mist;
Baby Guinness;
Bailey's Hot Shot;

You can mix with other mixers and make many, many things. I like Bailey's in coffee for instance. You can go to:

Put in your items you have on hand, and it will give you a list of drinks you can make, and the reciepes.

Get a bottle of Seagram's 7 Crown, Paramount rum, and Jim Beam bourbon. A good drink is a 7 & 7. 7 oz. 7 UP and 1 1/4 oz. Seagram's.
