I had the same problem. Also, for larger women wearing stretch jeans, I think it is the wrong way to go. They just accentuate the negatives if you have any:)). I love my Gap 1969 low rise (not too low - told the guy I am a bit older now, and I don't want my a$$ hanging out). I would recommend going in and trying on a few pair. The Gap now has a line just for women. They are the best fitting jeans I have worn in a long time.

Pant Rant Part Two: Ok, so yesterday I wear my NEW, snazzy, bought at Macy's "Charter Club" black jeans. They have some spandex in them and look pretty good--I got some compliments on how "stylish" I looked, (which I'm sure for some of my friends and colleagues was a shocker). BUTT, the first thing I notice is the waist dips down in the back. Just low enough for someone to catch a glimpse of the tops of my underwear, or, as one of my colleagues said when I mentioned my annoyance in the faculty lounge, "That's to display your tattoo." Ya know I would like to regulate for myself who gets to see my underwear, and if I'm going to show someone my underwear they at least have to buy me dinner first! Then, all throughout the day when I washed my hands I was noticing how dirty the rinse water looked. "Boy my office must be might dusty" I thought. Well, this morning when I'm taking a shower I notice that my thighs are also kinda grey looking. Seems my 36 dollar pants musta had their dye spray painted on or some such thing, because it is rubbing off on everything. Even today when I spilled some water on my pants and went to dry it off with a paper towel, it turned grey. And I haven't even washed them yet! Who knows how they will turn out in the wash. If they fade out I am taking them back! G-d knows what substance they used to dye them with back in China too!! I can't win for loosing.

I can't find them online, but I recently bought several pairs of what Macy's advertised as 'leggings' but which are pretty close to what's being described/discussed here. They were in the regular sportswear-not activewear-department with all the other pants, ie not with the exercise clothes. Anyway, they are made of knit fabric, band waist and cut to fit snugly but extremely comfortably. They've got pockets on the back and came in both ankle length and a longer boot cut style. I bought several pairs and love them for work. I always wear a top untucked over slim fit pants anyway since I work in a generally business casual office (university advisor/admin), so they are perfect. The only problem I have is that I accidentally hemmed one pair inside out. So now they have cuffs which really isn't working for the look I'm going for LOL. Once I fix that, good to go.

Received a pair of LB Lolita Skinny Jean in the Matira wash today. Not 100% sure about the wash yet, but the fit is great. Probably would not have ordered had the description on Belk website (can easily return locally) said "extra stretch" or similar (back in my closet now). Wondering how much they will stretch - 93% cotton, 6% polyester, 1% elastane. Some of my LRL jeans stretch TOO much, but my favorite LRL jearns are 96% cotton and 4% other. I have to return two shirts, so will probably not remove tags yet and see what store has in stock. Thanks for the suggestion. I do like the cut, length and fit.
