Who Uses AVON Products and......

what products of theirs do you like the best. Years ago I always used Avon but then started using other products. I believe they have quite a few new products out now for aging skin and was wondering if anyone has used them and how do they compare to over the counter products.

I used to have a few of their products and they were good for the price; I don't know anyone who sells avon now.

Hey i have tried Avon products and its amazing.. i liked the lipstick which i bought its cherry blossom colour it had a gloss as well... yup i agree its reasonable...

Hi, Libbyliz. Funny to find this here today. I just watched the Oprah program today with Dr. Oz and a skin specialist (summer rerun)and they talked about cracked heals. Skin gal said to use a Stridex pad--yes, the Acne medicine--followed by a good slathering of Vaseline or thick skin cream. Cover with socks and leave on overnight. Continue use and you'll never have cracked heals again she said. I've soaked, sloughed off the dead dry skin and applied Vaseline and socks overnight and it really works, so was wondering if adding Stridex would make a difference. And I'd think, use as needed.

Sorry to semi-hijack your thread, Bump, but from a little different viewpoint ... ... we bought some Avon shares back in the mid 60s, for our kids. I think that we bought about 3 shares for Kathryn, and 6 for Bruce, using their Family Allowance, which was then $6.00 per month, $72.00 per year, and a share cost about $75. Bruce, born abroad, didn't become Canadian resident until he was nearly 2, but we just added the extra to buy a share a year for him, as well. Down payment on their post-secondary education ... or a start in what they chose to do, as they became adults. A bonus was that, even with those few shares, we not only received a dividend, but each year received 2 samples of their newly introduced lines ... which were nice presents for in-laws, outlaws, etc. Sue and I parted about four years later and I don't know what happened after that, but I think that their value had almost doubled in those four years. ole joyful

Avon does not work like this. Please have your friend contact them, and the state Attorney General ASAP. Also here in ND, the media will release warnings regarding scams. Avon will not release names and addresses. I am so glad she did not get caught. Since I do not have a reg. rep. I buy from our local flea market, but even there I am careful, as some of the reps are selling out of date products. Just for a note, a rep buys directly from Avon and can sell the product for any price the want to, unless this policy has changed.

Well I know that I buy them...plus they are always gone the next time I go. I also see many MANY venders at the flea market selling Avon bottles. If they didn't sell them, they wouldn't be bothering with them! Sure they aren't the latest greatest fad, but that doesn't mean that "Aunt Louise" wouldn't love to buy them! Just because Elmer doesn't like to collect Avon Bottles doesn't mean they are just trash. Where I see them all the time is at our Habitat For Humanity Restore shop and they even put some in the "Antique" section and ask a big old price for the nicer ones.

Mitchdesj you can buy avon products online. I havnt bought avon in years. In another post someone mentioned their anew products. I am thinking about trying the new eye cream.

Avon was inovative in developing alpha-hydroxy skin care. There are so many other companies using this now though.

Avon was being sold at the malls in my area for a while but I haven't seen the Avon kiosk for a while. (Tupperware was being sold at the mall kiosks for a while also.)

You can look in your local phone book for a represenative in you area. I live in a large metropolitan area, and there are many Avon reps listed in the phone book. If you are in a rural area you may not be able to get a rep to deal with on a one on one basis.

I personally like the Avon Anew products. They seem mild. My skin has always been sensitive. Even antiperspirants cause me to itch.

I have been using Avon for over 10 years with wonderful results. I especially like their Anew line which is their anti-aging skin care brand. What's great about this line is that Avon breaks these products down by age category (for women in their 20s, 30s etc.) so there is no guessing as to which one is right for you.
I also really really like their Skin So Soft body and bath care line. My favorite is the Renew and Refresh line, which makes my skin feel incredibly soft and silky.
