falling out eyelash

what causes eyelash to fall out - i use eye curler - is it the curler or the mascara - i use maybelline products - my lashes use to full now very thin

Eye lash curlers can do it.Because they basicly PULL on the lashes and cuz them to fall out.Just like if you pulled the hair on your head everyday,eventually it would fall out.
Also,wearing waterproof mascara ALL THE TIME can do it too.

Hair thins as we get older and that includes eyelashes.

Is the problem severe? It could be a medical condidtion that can be treated. Have it checked out.

Mascara and eyelash curlers are not a good idea to use either.

Jiminshermanoaks and I visited Gracie one marvelous afternoon for that trip. She was gracious, lovely and a real hoot! She was one of the "good old girls" network with June Grose and a few others. Very neat lady in all respects and none of them will ever be replaced. "Her rose" is a very lovely shrub in these parts. Those coral pink anthers, which don't often show well in photographs (but are rather well depicted in Lyn's); her ease of growth and incessant flowering make her well worth a place in anyone's garden. She grew in mine for many years and required nothing of me other than water. She isn't in my current one because I could never get her seeds to germinate nor anything worthwhile of her pollen. Had I the room, her rose would be here simply because of its beauty and to honor a lovely lady. Kim

I use latisse. I get a prescription from my dermatologist. It works but it is dreadfully expensive. Maybe about $150 for 2 or 3 months supply. The other downside is you have to use it every single night and cannot skip it when you just want to fall into bed. At least I follow the directions to do this as I am scared to waste this much money and not follow directions. You can also use it on sparse eyebrows so after I apply to my lashes I take the still wet brush and mush it on my brows. Takes 5 or 6 weeks to see results. I wonder if there is a cheaper, faster way albeit safe for the eyes. I recently had a spontaneous, yes, non traumatic corneal gouge(abrasion), right in the central part of the cornea.

I am in total agreement! Like you, Sheilajoyce, I had done a lot of eyelash scarves, and had small amounts of yarn left. Tried using it as crocheted trim on hats, mitten cuffs etc - daughter's comment: it looks like multi-colored roadkill!! No, knitting is the way to go.

We saw a couple of episodes of The Catch. She has the worst false eyelashes I've ever seen. Her eyeliner is too thick, and it makes her eyes look far too heavy and black. She was in bed with her boyfriend, talking to him, and honestly, you couldn't see her eyes. Just black blobs on her face. I also don't like her lipstick, her lips look too dry and cracked to me. But the show is great, except that the background music is far too loud. This post wasn't meant to be a vent, just my observation, LOL

the curler definately puts strain on your lashes...and most of the lengthening, plumping, volumizing, and particularly the waterproof mascaras...well, would you use that stuff on your HAIR? really? on a daily basis?

keeping them curled and mascara'd, it's entirely possible that you've lost all perspective on what your 'natural' lashes looked like before you started the daily regimen of two coats of 'lash attack'.

the only way to know, really - is to go cold turkey. maybe for New Year's. maybe a lash 'tint' if you're particularly fair, but try it for a month, and you will do yourself two favors - you will give your lashes a chance to catch up with their growth cycle, and give YOU a chance to reaquaint yourself with what your eyes actually look like.

take before and after pictures - the camera has a much better memory than your naked eyes.
