I've had good luck with many different brands & types- it seems like the key or common ingredients are shea butter (miraculous) goat's milk lanolin vitamins A & E aloe I've had excellent results using aloe straight from the plant for a lot of problems other than burns. Last week I had an insect bite that turned red, got chapped, flaked, & *itched* like fire. I tried every single remedy in the medicine cabinet with no effect, & then... I accidentally broke off an aloe vera leaf. Figuring I didn't have anything to lose, I squeezed the fluid onto the spot & the itch stopped immediately & the place started to heal.

I agree with both- it works great but has an odd smell. I can't really describe it, like nothing else. It's not bad, just weird.

Lest anyone think I'm nutso, cleansing with straight oil isn't my idea. I went on vacation and my son loved the bathroom products so well, he wanted me to get them for the house. When I went on their website, I saw that they had cleansing oils. Once it got to me, I decided I'd never go back to drying soap, which I have reactions to anyhow. It was expensive! and I didn't use it on my face since it had fragrance in it. I researched to see if I could find cheaper alternatives, and found there are loads of people, multiple websites (here's one, with the breakdown of how to and "recipes") dedicated to it, using oil for their facial routine. So it's not a new idea, but my skin feels loads better, has fewer chemicals than traditional products, and it's far less expensive than other stuff. Good luck!

I'm about a cherry chapstick, it adds little bit of color but I picked this up last year after seeing a You-Tuber mentioned she uses it. IT'S TINY!! But unlike chapstick, it adds a little of shine along with a little bit of color.
